Capacity and distancing restrictions lifted for Campus Shuttle and Fleet vehicles, new hours for Fleet Operations
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- With recent updates to state and Penn State masking and social distancing mandates, changes are being made to Campus Shuttle and Fleet vehicle restrictions and Fleet Operations service hours.
CAMPUS SHUTTLE AND FLEET VEHICLES
Physical distancing and capacity restrictions for Transportation Services’ Campus Shuttle and Fleet vehicle services have been lifted.
Masks will continue to be required for all transit riders, including CATA services and the Campus Shuttle. For guidelines on mask use around campus, please see this Penn State News article.
Transportation Services’ Fleet Operations will also expand its operating hours beginning Monday, August 2, with new hours of 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Fleet Operations is accepting vehicle rental and driver service requests for travel and special events for the upcoming academic year. Many departments will be resuming in-person activities and events this fall, so early booking is strongly encouraged to ensure vehicle and/or driver availability.
With many employees also returning to work on campus, departments may have increased need for a vehicle for University business. Fleet Operations can assist departments in determining what vehicle rental option best fits their needs.
