Update: Face coverings required to use CATA services beginning Monday, April 20
Effective Monday, April 20, all riders are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when using CATA services.
REMINDER: The Governor is asking evertone to remain at home if they can. Please use the bus to go to places that are on the life sustaining list - grocery shopping, the pharmacy, or to go to work at an approved company. CATA is closely monitoribf the Coronavirus COVID-19 public health crisis and is engaging in proactive steps to ensure that we protect our riders, contractors and employees. Riders are reminded to: (1) if possible, stay at home (2) do not use CATA's services if you are sick (3) cover your coughs and sneezes, and (4) wash hands frequently with soap and warm water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
To protect its employees and the community and encourage social distancing, CATA is not currently collecting fares on any of its services (including CATABUS, CATARIDE and CATAGO!). Passengers on fixed route service who are able to are encouraged to board the bus from the rear door (any passenger using a mobility device would still board the bus through the front door).
CATA continues to operate on a modified service schedule, outlined below.
CATA has ceased the operation of all routes, with the exception of the HM (Nittany Mall/Toftrees),NV (Harvershire/Martin/Vairo/Toftrees), P (Tussey Mountain), RP (Waupelani Drive/Downtown), and W (Valley Vista) Routes and the Blue Loop and Red Link, all of which are operate on a modified service schedule with reduced frequencies. All service now operates Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. There is no weekend service.

The Blue Loop is operating on a 20-minute frequency.
CATARIDE is currently available to ONLY provide transportation to destinations on the Governor's list (i.e. medical facilities, grocery stores, employers on the Governor's list, and religious organizations).
The service is currently available during the modified hours of Monday through Friday, from 4:45 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday service is limited to only appointments relating to life-sustaining treatment such as dialysis and chemotherapy/radiation. There is no service Sundays.
Call-in hours for next day reservations are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
CATAGO! is currently available to ONLY provide transportation to destinations on the Governor's list (i.e. medical facilities, grocery stores, employers on the Governor’s list, and religious organizations).

CATA's Customer Service Center is currently closed to walk-in traffic; however, staff will be available to answer calls Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
