Zagster to end operations nationwide; search for new University Park bike share provider underway

Monday, June 1, 2020

Zagster, Penn State’s bike share provider since 2017, is permanently suspending operations at all locations nationwide, including University Park, effective immediately.

Zagster bikes and stations will be removed from campus over the coming weeks.

As Zagster’s contract with Penn State was set to expire this summer, Transportation Services began the request for proposal (RFP) process for a new bike share vendor earlier this year and plans to announce a new vendor later this summer.

Current Zagster members with remaining time on their annual membership will receive a special offer for the new campus bike share service when it’s available. Bike share members who have any questions about Zagster payment, charges, or credit cards must contact Zagster directly.
