Parking Access Changes Coming to Eisenhower Deck

UNIVERISTY PARK, Pa. -- Several parking and transportation improvements are planned for the Eisenhower Parking Deck and surrounding area to enhance access, expand visitor parking options, and improve pedestrian safety.

Parking and Access Updates

Eisenhower Deck will support 24/7 hourly visitor parking, utilize license plate recognition and Penn State ID access for permit holders, and operate similarly to other campus decks beginning Monday, Aug. 10.

The current HONK zone and Tempo Daily Parking Reservation location within the deck have been removed to accommodate the new parking configuration.

Changes to Yellow F Surface Lot Parking

The existing Yellow F surface lot will no longer serve as a regular permit parking area. Instead, the lot will be repurposed to support ADA-accessible parking.

New Yellow S and Visitor Parking Options

The current Eisenhower Visitor Lot will be redesigned and redesignated as an extension of the Yellow S parking area later this month. A new Tempo Daily Parking Reservation zone will also be established within the Yellow S section, providing additional flexible parking options for campus visitors and commuters.

Pedestrian Safety Improvements

To create safer connections between parking facilities and nearby destinations, the project included construction of a new sidewalk and a raised pedestrian crossing along Eisenhower Road. These enhancements are designed to improve accessibility and pedestrian safety throughout the area.
