Tempo Daily Parking Reservations
Transportation Services has launched a convenient, flexible, reduced-cost daily parking program for faculty, staff, and students at select campus parking areas.

Note: Tempo Daily Parking Reservations will be unavailable from Wednesday, Dec. 24 through Friday, Jan. 2. Several parking changes will be in effect during this time. Learn more about these impacts in the winter break service changes story.
Tempo Daily Parking Reservations offer an alternative to a monthly parking permit for remote and hybrid employees by using available space in the parking areas already overallocated for permits but consistently have unused parking spaces. The program also aims to relieve strain on the gated parking decks across campus during weekday daytime hours by redistributing some of the parking at those facilities to other areas.
The program is available to all current faculty, staff, and students regardless of whether they have a current parking permit. Users must log in with their Penn State user ID and password.
A limited number of daily reservations are available for the following parking lots for $4.35 per day, payable by credit card on the reservation website:
- Eisenhower Deck
- Orange A (sections east and west of Physical Plant)
- Orange H (sections north of Hastings Road)
- Orange B (section near Procurement Services and Lion's Pantry)
- Orange D (behind USB II)
- Orange lots at Innovation Park
- Red A (all sections)
- Red K (sections by Steam Services and 101 North Atherton Buildings)
- Silver B (all sections)
- OCR lot at the Technology Support Building
- Yellow E (both sections)
- Yellow H (east of Shields Building)
- Yellow H (north of Nittany Lion Softball Park)

Daily parking can be purchased for single or multiple days and will remain available for purchase through the day of or until parking for that day has sold out. Availability may vary based on permit holder usage, special events, and facility maintenance needs. Select dates may be unavailable, and the program may be discontinued at any time.
Refund Policy
Customer refund requests for Tempo Daily Parking Reservations must be submitted at least one business day prior to the scheduled reservation. All requests received in less than one business day prior to the scheduled reservation will be denied. Customers will be limited to four Tempo refund requests per calendar year.
When submitting a request, customers must include the date of their reservation and the email used to schedule the reservation. All requests must be sent to [email protected].

Q. Where can I find more information on the lot I choose after I have selected it?
A. Click the magnifying glass icon next to your selected lot. This reveals a map link and additional details about the location. For example, a Yellow E daily parking reservation includes access to both lots in that area—map links clarify which ones apply.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. Customer refund requests for Tempo daily parking reservations must be submitted at least one business day prior to the scheduled reservation. All requests received less than one business day prior to the scheduled reservation will not be approved. Customers are limited to four Tempo refund requests per calendar year. Q. What should I do if I need a receipt?
A. After checking out, you will have the option to download and print your receipt. If you have any issues, please fill out the contact us form on the Transportation Services website.
Q. How far in advance can I reserve parking?
A. Customers can reserve parking approximately one month in advance. *Subject to lot availability.
Q. Why do I have to purchase my parking before I arrive?
A. This ensures the lot has availability prior to arrival. Customers are subject to ticketing as soon as they leave their vehicle without a valid reservation.
Q. Will I be able to get a refund for my reservation at the Eisenhower Deck if I get there and realize that my vehicle does not meet the clearance requirements?
A. All vehicles must follow the refund policy on the Transportation Services website. Customers must request a refund at least one business day prior to their reservation. Deck clearances can be found on the Daily Visitor Parking page.
Q. Why is this program available to students and not just faculty/staff members?
A. In an effort to help meet the needs of our customers, Transportation Services has made this program available to students as well as faculty and staff.\
Q. Can you change your license plate?
A. Yes, customers can change their license plate prior to their reservation which begins at midnight on the day of their reservation. Customers can login to the Tempo Daily Parking Reservations website and select what license plate should be the default to make that change.
