Overnight/Weekend Event Parking

Overnight Parking

Visitors in need of overnight parking on campus should park at the East, HUB, Nittany, or West parking decks, where visitor parking is available at the rate of $1 per hour ($12 daily maximum fee). Payment is required for time parked in these facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If overnight parking is needed for more than five consecutive days, visitors must go to the Transportation Services Office to purchase a long-term permit. The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Weekend Event Parking

Penn State Football weekends and other select event weekends (such as Central PA Arts Fest) have special parking requirements as outlined below:

Thursday or Friday Arrival

  • Visitors arriving on Thursday or Friday of a designated event weekend must park at the at the East, HUB, Nittany, or West decks - overnight visitor parking is prohibited in all other parking areas.
  • Standard rates ($1 per hour/$12 daily maximum fee) will apply for the first 24 hours parked - after 24 hours, the following event rates will take effect and will be due upon exiting each facility:
    • Thursday arrival - $50
    • Friday arrival - $45
  • Visitors arriving on Friday may also park at the Eisenhower Deck beginning at 5 p.m. for $45 payable through ParkMobile (zone number 95110)
  • Parking is permitted through 6 p.m. Sunday.

Saturday Arrival

  • Visitors arriving on Saturday of a designated event weekend must park at the East, Eisenhower, HUB, Nittany, or West decks.
  • Standard rates ($1 per hour) will apply for the first two hours parked - after two hours, the following day-of-event rates will take effect and will be due as follows:
    • East, HUB, and Nittany decks - $40 (payable by credit card upon exiting at pay-on-foot or in-lane machine)
    • Eisenhower Deck - $40 (cash only paid upon entering)
    • West Deck - $25 (payable by credit card upon exiting at pay-on-foot or in-lane machine)
  • Parking is permitted through 6 p.m. Sunday.

Additional Event Parking Weekend Information

  • Commonwealth Campus student parking permits are not valid for parking at University Park. Students arriving on campus for the weekend on must park at one of the above-mentioned facilities and pay the applicable rate.
  • Fine amounts are increased for parking violations issued on event weekends.
